Steam Sale Must Buys 6/27

Unless you have been living under a rock you know by now that the Steam Summer Sale is going on. For those of you that have never experienced a Steam sale here is a quick rundown of how they work.

A lot of games on Steam are discounted currently, but you shouldn’t go onto Steam right now and just start buying everything you want. Be patient and wait for the game you are looking to buy to show up as a “Daily Deal”, “Flash Sale” or a “Community Choice”. This will be the lowest discount price the game will be at during the sale and insure that you will save the most money. With that said here are the games that you should definitely by today.

Banished is a town building simulator, but unlike Sim City this town builder is set in the 1700s. It is your job to keep your people fed, warm and healthy in order to grow the population. If you are a simulation fan you will lose hours of time playing this game, be warned it can be rather unforgiving. Just a quick tip you need to build houses for your people to have children.

Civilization V:

One of the best simulation games of all time and you can have the complete package for less than $10. Just like Banished this game will suck time away from you as you work to build your civilization from the stone age to space. Pick up Civ V and start to lose hours of your life to it.

Left 4 Dead 2:

For only $5 you can pick up the zombie survival game. Work with friends to survive and fight off zombies or play as the zombies and try to take down the humans. This is a great deal and you won’t regret picking up this title with for less money than a McDonalds trip.

Bethesda’s most recent new I.P. can be yours for only $5. The stealth based game was so successful when launched that Bethesda was quick to call Dishonored a brand new franchise. The game finished off last gen’s consoles with a bang and now you can pick it up for only $5.

Be sure to keep an eye on the “Flash Sales”and “Community Choices” since they change every 8 hours. I will be back tomorrow with my recommendation for purchases, but until then watch your wallet and happy gaming.
