Ubisoft started their E3 press conference off by showing the first five minutes of their upcoming open world first person shooter, Far Cry 4. Within the these first five minutes of the game all hell breaks loose and we are introduced to the game’s main villain Vaas Montenegro. A seemly smooth talking easily irritated and ultra violent character voiced by Troy Baker.
The game looks gorgeous and to no one’s surprise Troy Baker seems to have completely nailed the voice acting for Vaas. Not much else information was given on the story, but later in the day at Sony’s E3 press conference we were given a sneak peak at actual gameplay footage.
Carrying over from the trailer the gameplay looked gorgeous and very smooth. The video showed off a multitude of weapons as well as driving and flying. Towards the end of the video co-op was announced, as the main character claims he needs help in taking down a base. The second player hops in and takes control of Hurk and flies a gyro copter around as the first player shoots and together they take out the base, with the help of some elephants.
Then Sony dropped a very interesting bit of information, on PS4 you will be able to play Far Cry 4 co-op with friends that don’t own the game. Not many details have been released on how this will be done and what the restrictions are, but it definitely peaked my interest.
You can watch the first five minutes of the game and the gameplay video below. Far Cry 4 will be released on November 18th.
