Electronic Arts (EA) is making a lot of Sims fans unhappy with their announcement that pools and the toddler stage will not be in The Sims 4 “base game” when the title launches on September 2, 2014. In an online post on the official website EA stated “while we recognize that some of you will be disappointed that pools and toddlers won’t be available when The Sims 4 Base Game launches in September, you should know that we’re building an incredibly strong foundation that is capable of fulfilling every one of your desires in the years to come. The future of The Sims 4 is bright!”.
A lot of fans find this rather irritating as the toddler stage was a feature that came with the base game of The Sims 3 and being able to create a pool was has for your Sims has been a staple of the franchise since the very first game. The statement also gives reason to believe that both these features will be available later on, whether through a patch but more likely a paid DLC. With the Sims 3 having 20 expansions and a real money shop some fans are starting to get irritated.
There has been no word from EA about the outcry over the removal of two base features or if they will be implemented into the game at all. One thing is for sure though The Sims community is not happy with the announcement.
