No Man’s Sky is an indie game that has everyone excited and at Sony’s E3 press conference it was announced that No Man’s Sky will be coming to the PS4.
For those of you that don’t know anything about Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky here is a little background. According to Hello Games they have created an infinite universe that will be shared by everybody playing, although the universe is so big that the possibility of you running into another player is slim. Everything in the universe is procedurally generated, meaning that every world, tree and inch of space is unique and new.
When a player starts the game they will be started on their very own brand new and unique world and then the universe is your playground. You will be set free to explore planets and space, there is no story or items that must be collected. If you are having a hard time wrapping your head around the game that’s ok, the creator’s of the game are in awe of the scope of the game as well.
We were shown a gameplay trailer and afterwards one of the developers at Hello Game came out to explain and talk a little about the game. “We don’t even know what’s out there. It’s infinite” he stated.
The scope of this game is amazing and breathtaking and has the potential to be a once in a generation type game. For many gamers, myself included, this is a dream come true. I can see myself losing hours of my life flying around space exploring planets trying to find something of use and being in awe of everything I see.
I will be eagerly awaiting this game, and hoping that Hello Games can deliver on everything they have shown. You can check out the trailer below and be in awe yourself.
Do you think No Man’s Sky can deliver? Or will we be disappointed? Are you as excited for this game as we are? Let us know in the comments below and for everything No Man’s Sky be sure to stay right here on ELGN.
